Re: Sir Anthony Hopkins conducts his own music
Well I just listened to the Radio 4 interview with the man himself on this topic and he was of course very humble about the music, declaring his influences (Shostakovich, Delius, 'modern French composers' Ravel, Debussy and Satie) openly and saying his were only parlour games in comparison. It is a bit rich artists who cross disciplines often have a silver spoon unavailable to young or not so successful people within that discipline, but I can't say the Hopkins evening bothers me too much!!!!

Well good for him, but I'm not sure there would be any interest in his music if it wasn't for his non-musical successes.

hi...
you've got points there... if he's not that successful with his acting
career before.. he never would have been popular with his music
creation... have you heard of the latest issue about him, with the dead body of
a woman found in their home garage...I think...
That body was found when a police had made a search warrant...
that happens to be his wife.... wow...isn't that terrifying...
