DG flogging recordings to Brilliant Classics

I'm amazed to see among next month's new releases is Sinopoli's DG recording of Ariadne auf Naxos from eight years ago making an appearence on Brilliant Classics. I don't know the details of any deals but it strikes me as both strange and rather sad to see such a high profile recording (the cast included Voigt in her considerable prime, Heppner, Dessay and Von Otter) seemingly written off in such a way. It also doesn't seem much of a tribute to Sinopoli; presumably with all his recordings being sold off he won't be receiving the ten year anniversary treatment...
